We're not watching you
No accounts, no names, and we don't try to figure out who you are.
- We save phrases and their possible translations so the same request can be reused, without calling the AI again. One emoji line can have several meanings. The public lexicon shows those anonymous pairs, not who wrote them.
- Thumbs and optional better-translation suggestions are stored on those anonymous pairs, and help rank which meaning to show first.
- A small language cookie remembers whether you want English or Swedish.
- We also keep an anonymous visit count. A tiny cookie only remembers that this browser has already been counted — no name, no id.
- Google AdSense may show ads. Google can use cookies or similar tech to serve and measure them — we don't get a profile of you from that.
If a phrase is new, we send it to Google Gemini to generate a translation. Skip passwords, private keys, and anything you wouldn't want stored.
